About The Event
This is a high quality educational event with the feeling of a celebratory seasonal festival. For years, we have enjoyed hosting holistically-minded farmers, homesteaders, and anyone enthusiastic about the good life on the farm for a weekend of enjoyable learning in good company. The event is held at Long Hungry Creek Farm in Red Boiling Springs, TN - one of Tennessee's oldest and largest organic/biodynamic farms. Meals are included in the ticket price and most of the food comes from the farm or other farms in the community. Young children are welcome at no cost. Camping is free, and there are affordable rooms nearby in Red Boiling Springs.
This year is a special treat. We are celebrating the 100-year anniversary of biodynamic agriculture with lots of amazing speakers from all around the country, and perhaps all around the world. There will be farm tours and hands-on workshops about making the biodynamic preparations, applied permaculture principles, art, and health, as well as a talent show and barn dance. We will also be reading the agriculture lectures given by Dr. Rudolf Steiner aloud throughout the weekend and the week to follow.
Purchase tickets for the weekend, and feel free to stick around for the less formal continuation of the 100 year anniversary celebration. We will continue reading lectures and facilitating discussion as the week goes on.
Ticket price is for pre-registration (which we REALLY appreciate). Ticket at the door are $125. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are available as well. Please contact us for details!
