The Farmers Land Trust announced the Farmland Commons just one month ago, and already the vision we share—that land can be held as a common good and farmed for the benefit of people and planet—is finding its way into conversations, headlines, and hearts across the country.
While the word is spreading rapidly, the work on the ground is moving just as fast. We’re thrilled to announce and celebrate our first completed land transfer gift into The Farmers Land Trust, the official incorporation of two Farmland Commons, and the growth of our team and collaborators with a new staff member helping carry this work forward.
