Foundations
Woka Foundation is honored to support The Farmers Land Trust's bold mission to advance community-owned land models for regenerative agriculture. Removing barriers to land access opens the door for democratically-run, multi-generational land stewardship. Long-term, affordable leases give farmers the security needed to invest in soil health, biodiversity, and lasting regeneration. Now is the time to be audacious about land justice and climate change, and The Farmers Land Trust is doing just that.
Ian and Kristina’s track record with the farmland commons model effectively increases land ownership for disenfranchised communities while creating new opportunities to build regenerative farm-based businesses. Unlike traditional land trusts, this cooperative model of ownership removes land from the speculative market, reduces barriers to access and ownership, and secures it in perpetuity while farmers actually build financial equity in businesses rooted in regenerative practice.
