Aleeyah Frye
Operations Manager

Aleeyah Frye is an administrative professional living in Virginia. Born and raised in the Northern VA/DC area, she came up in the world of music, earning her degree in clarinet performance from Virginia Commonwealth University. Through the arts, she cultivated a love for creativity, connection, and leading with empathy, bringing a deep-rooted commitment to mission-driven work and operational care to her role as Operations Manager at The Farmer’s Land Trust.

Her journey into nonprofit work began with internships at organizations like the Workhouse Arts Center, Arts on the Horizon, and the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts—but it was through her roles at The Art League, BlackRock Center for the Arts, and the Richmond Symphony that she found her calling. As an executive assistant, she became known for her calm presence, sharp organizational mind, and natural ability to support people. She believes that thoughtful operations make transformative work possible, and she’s built a career on care, clarity, and behind-the-scenes leadership.

Now based in Richmond, Virginia — a vibrant city with a rich culture of community connection, farmers markets, food justice — she stays grounded through mindfulness, yoga, cooking, and spending time in nature with her fiancée. She’s passionate about supporting local farms and prioritizing fresh, seasonal food in her daily life, and is proud to work for The Farmer’s Land Trust, supporting a model of land access and stewardship that prioritizes equity, sustainability, and care for both people and the planet.
