Can you help us find farmland in these two states?
Across the country, farmers are ready to regenerate and steward land with care and grow healthy food for their communities. But too often, the biggest barrier they face is access to farmland.
At The Farmers Land Trust, we work to change that by creating Farmland Commons — community-centered, permanently protected land held for farmers, not for speculation. This model keeps farmland accessible, removes it from the commodity market, and ensures that farmers have long-term, equity-building tenure that supports ecological, cultural, and economic resilience.
Today, we’re reaching out because two groups of farmers — one in Maryland and one in Arizona — are actively searching for land. Their visions are strong, their community support is real, and their farming plans are ready. What they need now is access to acreage. These farmers are the catalysts and leaders already creating so much in their communities. Now they are ready to do more. In collaboration, we are forming the Chesapeake Farmland Commons and the Regeneration Arizona Farmland Commons.
We’re asking you — our community of advocates, and supporters — to help us find land.
